How to Work with the Plugin

Elementor Widgets

For users building websites with Elementor, the plugin includes dedicated widgets for an easy and user-friendly display of Hebrew calendar features.

After installing and activating the plugin, the following widgets will appear in the Elementor editor:

1. Hebrew Date Widget – Displays today’s Hebrew date.
2. Weekly Torah Portion Widget – Displays the Torah portion for the current week.
3. Full Calendar Widget – Displays a full calendar including Hebrew dates, Torah portions, holidays, and personal events.
4. Day of the Week Widget – Displays the current day of the week. Example: “Today is Wednesday.”
5. Daily Times Widget – Displays times like sunrise, sunset, noon, midnight, dawn, etc.

All Elementor widgets include advanced customization options, allowing you to change the font type, size, color, padding, margin, and alignment directly within the Elementor editor. This ensures seamless integration with your site’s design.

Shortcodes

The plugin supports shortcodes, making it simple to display information anywhere on your site.

Available Shortcodes

1. Calendar Display
   • ['jcal_heb_calendar']
   • Displays a full calendar, including Hebrew dates, holidays, Torah portions, and personal events.
2. Current Hebrew Date
   • ['jcal_today_hdate']
   • Displays today’s Hebrew date.
3. Parsha of the Week
   • ['jcal_parasha']
   • Displays the Torah portion for the current week.
4. Zmanim (Daily Times)
   • ['jcal_zmanim type="sunset" offset="1"']
   • Displays specific daily times like sunrise, sunset, and more. The type parameter specifies the time (e.g., "sunset", "dawn"), and the offset parameter adds minutes to the time (e.g., offset "1" adds 1 minute).
   • type (required): Specifies the type of daily time to display. Supported values:
     • chatzotNight: Midnight (Chatzot Layla)
     • alotHaShachar: Dawn (Alot HaShachar)
     • sunrise: Sunrise
     • sofZmanShma: Latest time to say Shema
     • sofZmanTfilla: Latest time to say the morning prayers (Tefilla)
     • chatzot: Midday (Chatzot HaYom)
     • minchaGedola: Earliest time for Mincha (Mincha Gedola)
     • minchaKetana: Later afternoon time for Mincha (Mincha Ketana)
     • plagHaMincha: Plag HaMincha (time for evening prayers)
     • sunset: Sunset (Shkiah)
     • beinHaShmashos: Twilight
     • dusk: Nightfall (Tzeit HaKochavim)
       Examples:
     • ['jcal_zmanim type="sunrise"']: Displays the sunrise time.
     • ['jcal_zmanim type="chatzotNight"']: Displays midnight time.
     • ['jcal_zmanim type="sofZmanShma" offset="-10"']: Displays the latest time for Shema, minus 10 minutes.
     • ['jcal_zmanim type="minchaGedola" offset="15"']: Displays the earliest time for Mincha, plus 15 minutes.
     • ['jcal_zmanim type="sunset" offset="20"']: Displays the sunset time, plus 20 minutes (e.g., for Maariv).
5. Day of the Week
   • ['jcal_day_in_week']
   • Displays the current day name in Hebrew (e.g., “היום יום רביעי”).
